FOUR SEASONS REIMAGINES THE PARK GSTAAD
Opened in 1910, The Park Gstaad occupies a singular position within the village as its first five-star hotel. Located within walking distance of the centre, the property has historically drawn relevance not from isolation or spectacle, but from continuity — embedded within Gstaad’s social and architectural fabric across successive generations of seasonal migration.
The hotel is currently undergoing a comprehensive redevelopment and will reopen for the 2026–2027 winter season under the management of Four Seasons, operating as The Park Gstaad, A Four Seasons Hotel. Ownership remains with Dona Bertarelli, who acquired the property in 2003, while redevelopment is led by Squircle Capital.
Interior architecture has been entrusted to Paris-based architect Joseph Dirand, while architectural development is being carried out by local firm Jaggi, whose work includes The Alpina Gstaad, Hotel Ermitage Schönried, and Hotel Spitzhorn Saanen. Upon completion, the hotel will comprise 75 rooms and suites, alongside a limited residential component integrated within the redevelopment and managed by Four Seasons.
Amenities will include multiple restaurant and bar concepts, a destination spa and fitness centre, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and event spaces conceived for discretion rather than scale. Seasonal offerings extend to an ice rink in winter, ski and bike services, curated outdoor programming, a tennis court, and dedicated children’s facilities. Employee accommodation on site is also being upgraded as part of the redevelopment, reinforcing long-term operational continuity.
Rather than signalling reinvention, the reopening reflects a calibrated continuation — with Four Seasons introducing operational discipline to an address already defined by history, discretion, and architectural permanence.
