Richard Mille RM 07-01 Coloured Ceramics 2026 — The Ultimate Chapter
The Richard Mille RM 07-01 Coloured Ceramics 2026 concludes a design study initiated in 2021, delivering a decisive and uncompromising finale. Limited to just 50 pieces per reference, the trilogy embraces a fixed palette – blush pink, lavender pink, and powder blue – executed in TZP ceramic chosen for its chromatic stability, durability, and permanence. The collection does not revisit or reinterpret; it closes the narrative with precision, presenting a controlled vision where colour, material, and craftsmanship converge without deviation.
The dial preserves the unmistakable codes of the RM 07-01 while evolving structurally through fragmented gem-setting. This discontinuous geometry integrates diamonds, sapphires, and coloured ceramics against a grey PVD-treated red gold base, forming a layered and architectural composition. Laser-cut rubber appliqués and white gold inserts reinforce the visual rhythm, while traditional guillochage is executed manually, line by line, removing material with exacting control. The result is a dial that feels both engineered and artisanal, balancing technical rigor with aesthetic complexity.
At its core, the CRMA2 calibre drives the timepiece – an automatic, skeletonised movement crafted from Grade 5 titanium with a 50-hour power reserve. A variable-geometry gold rotor optimizes winding efficiency, while electroplasma treatments define the baseplate and bridges, enhancing both durability and visual depth. Gem-setting extends beyond the dial to the bezels, where gold prongs secure stones against the inherent hardness of ceramic, following a precise mitraillage pattern. Each reference maintains its own identity – blush pink combines diamonds with yellow and blue sapphires, lavender pink pairs diamonds with orange sapphires and rubies, and powder blue integrates diamonds with pink sapphires and tsavorites. Polished white gold casebands and satin-finished pillars complete the architecture, reinforcing a design language that remains disciplined to the very end.
