Key Moments of Watches and Wonders 2026 – H. Moser & Cie. Reinvents Modern Watchmaking
At Watches and Wonders 2026 in Geneva, April 2026, H. Moser & Cie. introduces a radical gesture that replaces one of watchmaking’s most familiar elements. Where a crown would normally sit, a discreet anodised aluminium pusher takes its place. A single press delivers more than one hour of power reserve, and the system tolerates repetition without consequence, even at full charge. Energy flows directly into the barrel spring, while the power reserve reacts instantly. Beneath the surface, the partially skeletonised movement exposes an openworked rack, ensuring the entire mechanical choreography remains visible from both front and back.
At its core lies the re-engineered HMC 103 calibre, derived from the automatic HMC 500 architecture but transformed into a manual-winding system. Measuring 30.0 mm in diameter and 4.5 mm in height, it consists of 131 components and 31 jewels, operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour with a minimum power reserve of 74 hours. The Straumann hairspring remains a signature feature, accompanied by Moser double stripes. The case abandons traditional metals in favour of forged quartz fibre, a composite material cut, compressed, resin-infused, and cured twice to achieve a matte moiré finish where no two cases are identical. A titanium inner structure ensures durability, water resistance to 10 ATM, and integration with the rubber strap.
Two limited references define the release, each restricted to 250 pieces. The 6103-2200 arrives in black forged quartz with a matching polished dial and strap, while the 6103-2201 presents a white counterpart. Both feature lacquered dials with a subtle transparent logo, applied indices, and Globolight hands emitting a green glow in low light. An orange power reserve disc introduces a deliberate visual accent, echoing a late-1980s cultural icon tied to performance and personalisation, widely associated with the Reebok Pump era. This connection extends further through an exclusive sneaker created alongside the watch, reserved for select owners. Developed within Moser Exploration LAB, the project stands as a contained experiment, free from the constraints of the main collection yet fully aligned with the brand’s pursuit of unconventional innovation.
