Royal Oak Mini Becomes Ultimate Status Piece
Le Brassus, February 2026 – Audemars Piguet sharpens the identity of its Royal Oak Mini line with two new 23 mm quartz references that shift focus entirely to dial expression. First introduced in 2024, the collection now moves away from the Frosted Gold aesthetic seen in earlier executions, returning instead to a refined interplay of polished and satin-brushed finishes. This evolution places visual emphasis squarely on the dial, reinforcing the purity and geometry of the Royal Oak design while preserving its compact proportions and contemporary appeal.
The first of the two releases pairs an 18-carat pink gold case with a mirror-polished black onyx dial, creating a striking contrast between depth and brilliance. Brilliant-cut diamond hour markers punctuate the dark surface, adding a subtle yet unmistakable sense of luxury. The dial is protected by glareproofed sapphire crystal and framed by the iconic octagonal bezel and integrated bracelet, maintaining the unmistakable Royal Oak architecture. The result is a compact watch that balances bold materiality with precise detailing.
The second reference introduces a softer, more luminous interpretation through an extra-white mother-of-pearl dial housed in 18-carat yellow gold. Free from a date display, the dial remains clean and uninterrupted, allowing the natural iridescence of the material to take center stage. Applied hour markers and luminescent Royal Oak hands ensure legibility while preserving elegance. Both models measure 23 mm in diameter with a thickness of 6.6 mm and are powered by the quartz calibre 2730, offering over seven years of battery life along with a crown-operated deactivation feature. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters, while pricing is set at 38400 USD for the mother-of-pearl version and 46000 USD for the diamond-set black onyx model.
